A figural antique chalkware elephant lamp holds a handsome Exotic Elephant lampshade which has been hand-dyed from dusty warm cocoa brown into midnight blue. The shade is covered on the sides with an exquisite beaded French net. The net is embroidered with finely detailed beaded motifs. The center panels have black and gold mesh from the 1920s and feature sequined elephant appliqués. Antique Asian bohemian patterned trim fills in the bottom cuff. The shade is hand beaded in matching tones of reds, blue, gold and mint green and features vintage filigree beads. A hand-painted vintage finial tops the lamp.
