Rare antique lamp base of a goddess depicted in a flowing, Grecian-style dress has been hand painted and holds a hand-dyed Seagreen Moon Goddess silk lampshade. The shade is dyed in variations of sea green and is covered all over with with beautiful and sparkly antique green silk and gold lamé fabric from the 1920s. The sides are then adorned with an intricate web lace in silvery tones.
The front circle panels have antique appliqués from India which are then embellished with beautiful Czech glass jewel cabochons. The soft light and ethereal beauty of this lamp is enchanting.
The shade has hand beaded fringe with greens, golds, and bronze along with luminous "moonstone" drop beads, creating a dreamy, elegant glow. An antique hand painted finial tops the piece.
Overall height is 22 inches to the top of the finial.
Shade dimensions are approximately 11 x 5 inches.
