1920s antique floor lamp with a pair of twirling accent poles and flowers has been hand painted and holds a hand-dyed, bright and beautiful Turquoise Chinoiserie Aviary Lantern silk lampshade. The silk covered lantern is dyed in various green and blue shades of turquoise and has six panels with wonderful, brightly colored antique Chinese embroidered peony and bird appliqués alternating with gold and blue silk floral appliqués. The top of the lantern is covered with ornate gold metallic lace and the bottom ovals are filled with antique dimensional embroidered gold metallic and silk lace. A gossamer rare French netting overlays the large panels giving a beautiful shimmer to the shade.
Adorning the shade is hand-beaded fringe in colorful matching tones of pinks, gold, greens and turquoise and six long dramatic tassels with cloisonnes beads. A bespoke pull chain completes the lamp. It lights up beautifully!
Overall height is 63.5 inches to the top of the finial.
